Our Story

How it all started...

Thomasville Baptist Church was founded in 1890 with 29 charter members. The first building in 1890 was a wood framed building that burned in 1904. The second church building in 1906 was brick and was built on Wilson and 2nd. Sunday school space was added and totally remodeled in 1929. The entire building burned down again in 1934.
The third and present building was built in 1937.

Expanding the vision...

Since 1937, the church has had several additions including: education space in 1951, the Jack Mason Annex in 1976, the Fellowship Center in 2003, and
The Station in 2023.

Where we are headed...

Currently, we have purchased and have begun renovations on an old fire station building that sits adjacent to the church property. This space will be used as part of our children's ministry and for large group meetings.
