ETERNAL LIFE?

Do you know for certain that you have ETERNAL LIFE and that you will go to heaven when you die?

Suppose you were standing before God right now and He asked you…

“Why should I let you into My heaven?”

What do you think you would say? You may not know what you would say.

But…

You can know.
GOD LOVES YOU. The Bible states it this way…

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). God’s purpose for you is that you have ETERNAL LIFE. “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10). It is a FREE GIFT FROM GOD. “The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”

(Romans 6:23).

You can spend ETERNITY WITH JESUS IN HEAVEN.

Jesus said,

“I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am” (John 14:3). ETERNAL LIFE gives meaning to life. Yet… THERE IS A PROBLEM.

WE ARE ALL SINNERS BY NATURE AND CHOICE. The Bible shows us…

“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). We CANNOT save ourselves. “Not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:9). And because of our sin we deserve DEATH and HELL. “The wages of sin is death”

(Romans 6:23).

It is true that: God is holy and just and must punish sin, yet…
He loves you.

So, the GOOD NEWS is that God has provided FORGIVENESS FOR YOUR SIN. Jesus said,

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). GOD’S PROVISION IS JESUS CHRIST. Jesus IS God and became man. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us” (John 1:1,14). JESUS DIED FOR YOU ON THE CROSS. “For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit”

(1 Peter 3:18).
JESUS DEATH WAS NOT THE END.

“He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification”

(Romans 4:25). JESUS IS ALIVE! That is the Good News!
BUT THE ONLY WAY Jesus can affect your life today is for you to receive Him ~ the Holy Spirit, and with Him receive His free gift of ETERNAL LIFE. The Bible says,

“Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become the children of God”

(John1:12)
THE CHOICE IS YOURS no one elses. We must repent of our sin.

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out” (Acts 2:19). Repentenance is turning to God through Jesus and away from our sin. You must put your FAITH IN JESUS. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God”

(Ephesians 2:8). Faith is TRUSTING JESUS.

Is there any reason you would not want to receive God’s gift of eternal life?…
ARE YOU WILLING to place your faith in Jesus right now and turn from your sin?

The Bible says,

“For, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved'”

(Romans 10:13). YOU NEED TO ASK THE LORD JESUS TO SAVE YOU.

Read this prayer and see if it says what you want to say to God.

Dear God, I know that Jesus is Your Son, and that He died on the cross
and was raised from the dead. I know I have sinned and need forgiveness.
I am willing to turn from my sins and receive Jesus as my Savior and Lord.
Thank You for saving me. In Jesus’ name. Amen

CALL ON THE LORD in repentance and faith, using these or similar words of your own; and Jesus will become your Savior and Lord.

It is important to realize that Jesus wants to do more than just reside in your heart. He wants to be Lord of your life and aid you as you begin your new life’s journey with Him. The Bible says, “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved” (Romans 10:9-10). Confessing “Jesus is Lord” means trusting Him to direct your life.
